The SOS-Kinderdorf e.V. is a renowned aid organisation and a free, non-profit institution of child and youth assistance with 38 facilities throughout the federal territory and around 5,200 employees.

The SOS Children's Village Wilhelmshaven-Friesland is an institution with differentiated offers in the field of youth assistance, outpatient and stationary offers, an open area in the context of the family center as well as early aids and educational advice.

For our SOS Children's Village Wilhelmshaven-Friesland, we are looking for a Senior Consultant (m/w/d) in permanent employment, part-time (21 hours/day) or full-time (38,5 hours/day)

In the heart of Wilhelmshaven, in the former “lila school” of Peterstraße 126, our new SOS-Kita-Havenkinder has been located since March 2025. The two existing buildings are connected by a new building. The old building charm of the buildings has been preserved and offers versatile, spacious and light-flooded design options for our educational work. Through a variety of functional spaces, such as studio, construction and construction space, we create different possibilities for movement and education for children. The spacious garden area also invites you to experience natural education. Individual care & related care: You accompany children with a lot of empathy and promote a secure connection to the caregivers. Attention to children's rights & participation: You pay attention to children's participation and enable them to actively shape their world. Support in all areas of education: You offer stimulating activities that support the cognitive, social, motor and creative development of children. Need-oriented handling: You perceive the individual needs of the children and design the daily routine accordingly. Systematic observation & documentation: You observe child development in a targeted manner and document progress towards the best possible promotion of each individual child. Parent work & team work: You maintain an open, esteemed exchange with parents and work together collegially in the team. Responsibility & child protection: You implement the legal requirements for the protection of children and caregivers and ensure the well-being of children.

Educational qualification: You have completed training as an educator. Reliable reference person: You are a stable, empathic and trusting contact person for the children. Valuable handling: respect and mindfulness shape your attitude towards children, parents and colleagues. Flexibility & ownership: You bring the willingness to move flexibly into the Kita everyday and take responsibility. Professional approach & distance: You meet the children with loving care, but always maintain a professional attitude. Openness for training: You are motivated to develop and continually expand their knowledge.
