The Global Technical Operations (GTO) Division is the center for QIAGEN's technological and engineering expertise and supports our worldwide production sites. In this role you work in the field of process engineering and actively shape the future of our manufacturing technologies for IVD and HID products. Your tasks: You identify and evaluate new manufacturing technologies for their use in QIAGEN for IVD and HID products. Based on this, you specify production facilities and tax independently or in the team procurement projects. You develop production concepts and business cases based on production figures, production costs and evaluation of existing plants. You conduct projects for the development of automated manufacturing and assembly processes for IVD and HID products with a strong focus on special machine construction. You design, plan, perform and document process and data analyses. With your technical expertise and network of experts and machine suppliers, you are a key player for internal stakeholders (product development, purchasing, production sites, etc.). Your profile: You have completed engineering studies and several years of professional experience, ideally in the manufacturing medical technology or pharmaceutical industry, in the field of machine or plant engineering or a comparable technical role; preferably in the life science, IVD or GMP environment. You bring demonstrable experience in technical procurement projects, including the creation of specifications, supplier selection and control, execution of FAT/SAT, acceptance and commissioning, layout design, cycle time calculation and optimization of throughput. You are safe and professional in handling machine suppliers and integrators. You have profound knowledge in automation and experience in projects on automation, packaging and/or robotics. Experience with paper processing machines (e.g. vacuum conveying technology, punching and cutting units, folding, and adhesive technology) is a plus. Knowledge of regulated production environments (ISO 13485, GMP, Machine Directive, Change Control, Risk Management, Validations IQ/OQ/PQ) are advantageous. You have very good German skills (at least C1) and fluent English skills.
