Legal Counsel (m/w/d) – Business, Contract, Corporate or Cartel Law Location: Kassel Hybrid, DE Job type: Full-time, part-time – unlimited Making the right – securing the future Legal Affairs is a globally active and internationally connected unit of the SMA Group. The team controls and accompanies legal issues worldwide. As an internal competence center for all legal concerns, we are first contact persons for all business areas – in particular the relationships with our customers, suppliers and cooperation partners, as well as the companies of the group among themselves. Depending on the experience and interests, you can answer one or more of the following priorities. Business and contract law in international project and product business Company law incl. group-internal structural and governance issues Antitrust and competition law in an international environment The exact design of your role is done by matching your profile and team needs.

You take on the well-founded legal advice of the management, the departments and the Group companies from the examination to the final decision From a legal perspective, you analyze and evaluate the design of projects for the perception of business opportunities and for the prevention and reduction of risks and damage You tax – also international – projects independently and accompany negotiations until successful completion. In addition, as a Legal Buddy, you support the Legal Contract Manager team in challenging questions and act as a savings partner through your comprehensive legal experience You are responsible for the enforcement or defence of legal claims and coordinates cooperation with external law firms and consultants You work closely with the neighbouring departments, such as compliance, tax, controlling

You are a full lawyer with 2nd State Exams or have an internationally recognized legal degree and, depending on your personal focus (e.g. company, contract, cartel or business law), you have a profound knowledge of German, European and international economic and commercial law with You bring long-term, relevant experience from an international company or a renowned business law firm – ideally in the area of complex business goods or project business You think analytical, strategic and entrepreneurial and bring safe English with you – further foreign language skills are welcome You have strong negotiating skills, persuasiveness and a high level of responsibility and quality awareness and work independently, solution-oriented and with high levels of communication
