Senior Cloud Engineer (m/w/d) Place of work: Berlin, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt am Main, Hamburg, Hannover, Stuttgart Job: Full-time (part-time is possible in principle), unlimited Job ID: 2026_0419_02 The work unit “Explorative IT” develops and operates modern, secure cloud and platform solutions for the IT of the future. The focus is on the integration and optimization of hybrid cloud environments as well as the implementation of automation, DevSecOps and “Secure by Design”. In close cooperation with specialist areas and technology partners, innovative and efficient IT services are designed.

Take responsibility for the engineering of the Secrets Management platform and actively shape their development in the sense of modern, secure platform solutions. Replace technical implementations in compliance with strategy, architecture and security requirements (“Secure by Design”) and ensure continuous monitoring and optimization in terms of efficiency and costs. Work closely with manufacturers and cloud service providers to advance technical and functional extensions and to match product features for minimum Viable Products (MVPs) and releases. Integrate the platform into hybrid cloud environments, develop it further and accompany the integration of legacy systems and migration of existing applications. Support specialist areas in the introduction of modern Secrets Management solutions and cloud-compliant working methods. Take an active part in the implementation and further development of automation practices.

Bachelor or comparable degree with information technology (e.g. (economic) computer science) Mind. 3-year professional experience with modern infrastructure and system deployment concepts (CI/CD environments), container platforms and different cloud models Very good knowledge and experience in the planning and provision of services in cloud environments (e.g. on container platforms or with landing zones), including IT infrastructures (e.g. networks, gateways, load balancers, firewalls, IAM, RBAC, Key Vault, Computing (VMs, Serverless), storage, databases) Good knowledge and experience in automation by using tools and practices such as CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform) and Platform as a Service Good knowledge of design and architecture regarding the integration of interfaces to infrastructure, applications, internal management systems and external sources Knowledge of agile methods in IT engineering (e.g. DevSecOps/SCRUM) Outstanding analytical and conceptual skills Very good team capability Very good German and English communication skills
