Senior Data Engineer – Schwerpunkt Databricks / Cloud (m/f/d)

Further development of our Data Warehouse (DWH) system with the following main activity: Conception and cooperation on the migration of the Bank11 DWH to a forward-looking cloud infrastructure (Databricks) Responsible analysis, simplification and automation of business processes in close coordination with the departments Continuous optimization of DWH architecture and data structure as well as development of strategic target images Integration of new data sources into the DWH and programming of the corresponding ETL processes Technical guidance from colleagues in the team and knowledge transfer to cloud technologies Responsibility for data-driven projects – from conception to implementation

Successfully completed studies with a quantitative focus, e.g. computer science, mathematics or economics, or equivalent qualification acquired through multi-year relevant professional experience At least 5 years of professional experience in the DWH/Data Engineering environment, of which ideally several years with cloud-based platforms such as databricks or comparable solutions Advanced programming skills in Python and SQL Practical experience with Spark, Delta Lake or similar big data technologies Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code approaches High initiative, conceptual strength and willingness to take responsibility Service-oriented thinking and strong team skills Very good German knowledge in word and writing (project language is German)
