Definition, planning and execution of electrical and functional tests on optical subsystems and payloads as part of Assembly, Integration & Test (AIT) Development and maintenance of system architectures, integration of subsystems and components and management of technical requirements Preparation of test procedures, testing and analysis, and evaluation of test results including error and root cause analyses Definition and procurement of test and auxiliary equipment such as test harnesses, break-out boxes and electrical adapters as well as management of test infrastructure Creation and maintenance of technical documentation and specifications as well as close cooperation with project, development and integration teams to develop efficient test and integration strategies

Complete studies in the field of electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, mechatronics, computer science, mathematics, physics or a comparable technical qualification Multiannual professional experience in the engineering and/or electrical or functional AIT system, ideally in the aerospace environment Experience with optical subsystems, in particular detector and laser subsystems, as well as knowledge of relevant space and aircraft systems Very good knowledge of Python and experience with at least one of the following technologies: TCL, CCS5, ELISA or OpenCenter Experience with MATLAB/Simulink and ideally knowledge of Bash, MySQL, Git and network architectures knowledge of ECSS standards and experience in error analysis and root cause analysis; Knowledge of Machine Learning / Deep Learning / AI are beneficial German and English skills, strong communication skills and readiness to travel and multi-month shift work during test campaigns
