Apply the Security Guards professionally and ensure smooth processes in your layer. Plan the use of your employees in areas of activity and create coordinated holiday plans to always provide sufficient staff. Give your shift team the daily tasks to achieve high-level goals together.

Together with your team and in cooperation with the external security service provider, you are responsible for access and access control, monitor our building via video equipment, address our alarm and emergency call systems and take over the closing service. You also manage the access rights and manage the key management for guests and external partners.

On the basis of our operating regulations, you carry out numerous safety controls: from the personal control of our employees when entering and leaving the operating area, to the control of the spin and vehicle, to speed controls on our yard.

At alarm inputs, you coordinate external rescue and security services and carry out protective measures. You are also responsible for measures to prevent theft. In case of violations of the rule, you will secure evidence and write reports, observe suspects and intervene in criminal acts. If necessary, you will provide first aid and guide fire protection measures.

In addition, you support project activities to continuously improve our processes at the site.

For your shift, you take full responsibility, exchange regularly with the Security Specialist and the other shift managers and continuously develop your knowledge and skills. Bring your own ideas and accompany the implementation of new security measures to make our workplace a safe place.

You have successfully completed the training for the tested protection and security force [IHK] or the qualification for the protection specialist and brings at least 2 years of professional experience in dealing with people and in administrative activities. Ideally, you have additional qualifications in the areas of first aid and/or fire protection.

In order to meet your tasks as a shift manager*in, you are characterized by team skills, high performance and physical and psychological stress. You'll be confident, you'll be happy to decide and take responsibility for your team.

It's easy for you to remember new software. You are looking forward to working with Google Workspace, various apps and web tools to keep your eyes on and optimize all processes.

You have good rhetorical skills and pass on your knowledge, understandably, sustainably and adapted to the knowledge of your colleagues. Your good knowledge of German in word and writing, as well as basic knowledge of English in A2 level, simplify the communication in the team and enable an excellent security service

LOCATION Our European logistics network is growing: we are currently in the preparatory phase for the opening of our new site in Gießen (Hessen), which is just an hour away from Frankfurt am Main. The 130,000 square meter logistics centre is operated by Zalando and is designed for up to 1,700 employees. From this location, 2026 customers in Germany and neighbouring markets will receive their packages from summer. Our logistics staff ensure that more than 50 million Zalando customers receive their orders reliably every day in more than 25 European markets. Zalando now has a Europe-wide logistics network with twelve locations in seven countries. In Germany alone, around 6,000 employees from over 100 nations work at four Zalando logistics locations. .
