Number: MER0003NCJ “Concept and use of generic AI to optimize the control unit core data process at Mercedes-Benz” Mercedes-Benz Group AG is one of the most successful automotive companies in the world. With Mercedes-Benz AG, the vehicle manufacturer is one of the largest providers of premium and luxury cars and vans. Above all, the digitalization and the processes and methods of vehicle software are driving the change of Mercedes-Benz AG. Essential process steps, tools and data relating to the topic of diagnosis, flashing and coding of electrical/electronic components (ECUs) are currently being redesigned with state-of-the-art architecture within the MIC (Mercedes Intelligent Cloud). As part of an overarching project End2End SW Journey, our team is responsible for essential applications in this environment. The processes for generating and releasing coding data for electronic control units (ECU) are also redefined and continuously optimized and automated. As part of a 6-month master's thesis, you will succeed in the following work packages: Conducting a comprehensive scientific research on the latest applications of GenKI Evaluation of the possibilities for use of GenKI in the coding data environment at Mercedes-Benz Cooperation with IT, R&D and external partners to coordinate requirements Validation, interpretation and presentation of results Design, design and development of a Proof of Concept (PoC) Systematic evaluation of the implemented PoC and the associated user experience Scientific documentation of methodology and results Recommendation of the next steps to implement GenKI in the Codierumfeld The final topics will be discussed with the university, you and us. The master thesis can start from August 2025.
