As an expert team for AI and application case factory, we bring KI to the DRV Bund and support all specialist departments as a contact partner*in with our support and consulting offer. In a steadily growing interdisciplinary team, we deliver new solutions with the help of AI technologies and thus provide pioneering work for the numerous challenges of a federal authority with more than 26,000 employees.

Designs, development and maintenance of robust and scalable data pipelines (ETL/ELT) Ensure data quality and consistency and optimize the performance and scalability of data pipelines and systems Provide and manage data infrastructure components on cloud platforms (for example AWS, Azure), including Data Lakes and Data Warehouses Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate the provision and management of data infrastructure Ensure the availability, security and cost efficiency of the entire data infrastructure Set up monitoring solutions and troubleshooting in the cloud and data infrastructure Close interaction with Data Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers to understand their data needs and develop solutions

Completed scientific higher education (master, diploma or similar degree) with a quantitative focus; ideally the study direction MINT (mathematics, computer science, natural science or technology) or the social and economic sciences At least two years of professional experience as Data Engineer, Cloud Engineer or in a comparable position Practical experience in building and operating data pipelines on at least one large cloud platform (for example AWS, Azure) and their data services (for example S3, Redshift) Very good programming knowledge in Python for the development of data processing scripts and automation Secure handling of SQL for data modeling and querying as well as confidentiality with database design principles Knowledge of the development and optimization of ETL/ELT processes and data warehousing concepts Experience with containerization (docker) and orchestration tools (e.g. Kubernetes, Airflow) Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Tools like Terraform or CloudFormation Proactive communication behaviour, strong cooperation readiness and networked thinking in agile cooperation complete your profile
