The SOS-Kinderdorf e.V. is a renowned aid organisation and a free, non-profit institution of child and youth assistance with 38 facilities throughout the federal territory and around 5,200 employees.

The SOS Children's Village Schleswig-Holstein in Lütjenburg in a scenic location near the Baltic Sea, is an institution of child and youth assistance with children's village families, various housing groups, outpatient flexible aids, school social work, a public kita, a family center and the children's and youth center ''KOM,MA'' with media workshop and environmental project.

At the SOS Children's Village Schleswig-Holstein we are looking for a (m/w/d) as a coordinating specialist for child protection and child rights in permanent employment, part-time (min. 20 - max. 30 hours/Where.)

As a coordinating specialist for children's protection and children's rights, you take on an important role in the SOS Children's Village Schleswig-Holstein: You create orientation, strengthen professionals and ensure that protective concepts become alive and effective – for the benefit of the children and young people entrusted to us.

Prevention – Safety begins in everyday life You advise and strengthen our teams on all questions concerning child protection, child rights and participation You maintain and design networks with internal and external departments to ensure the greatest possible protection together You develop conceptual and structural standards that ensure the well-being of children, adolescents and representatives You initiate and accompany preventive projects that make children's rights visible and strengthen Intervention – clarity and support in case of need You carry out risk analyses together with the setup lines and derive further steps of action from them. You take responsibility for transparent, comprehensible and reliable protection procedures You know regional support offers and actively receive them if necessary You ensure careful, clear and uniform documentation of all relevant processes You help to implement child and care protection in everyday life responsibly and professionally sound

You have a completed study of social education or pedagogy or a comparable qualification – and bring the willingness to continuously introduce and develop your knowledge Knowledge and ideally experience in child protection already bring you – or you want to further deepen your existing skills in this important field training as a “experienced specialist” is a valuable advantage, but no compelling requirement – our attitude, commitment and desire to develop professionally is more important.
