The focal points of the clinic (www.neurosurgery-marburg.de) are the therapy of intracranial and spinal tumors, the skull base and hypophysis surgery, vascular neurosurgery, functional interventions such as deep brain stimulation and epilepsy surgery, neurotraumatology and, in particular, the treatment of complex degenerative, tumorous and traumatic spinal diseases. In the clinic, innovative medical technology methods such as augmented reality, robotics, intraoperative CT and ultrasound imaging are developed and used with the most modern devices in patient care. The working groups of the neurosurgical laboratories for molecular biology and medical technology are closely integrated into patient care and support doctors in their scientific projects.
