We about us:

The child protection team is part of the Department of Social Services of the Office for Youth, Family and Sport. In addition to the children's protection team, the departments of nursing care, adoptions, youth assistance in criminal proceedings, educational assistance and, at the moment, integration aid are located.

The child protection team has its own property management. The 4 employees are responsible for the entire district of Steinburg. The small team works in close collegial exchange – nobody is alone!

Your tasks:

· Protection order for child welfare threats pursuant to § 8a SGB VIII

· Assessment of the risk of danger in the interaction of several professionals

· Development and review of protection plans and the introduction of protection measures to mitigate risks

· Implementation of house visits and cooperation with the caregivers

· Inobservations according to § 42 SGB VIII and invocation of the family court according to § 1666 BGB

· Consultation of persons who are professionally in contact with children in accordance with § 8b SGB VIII

· Participation in readiness

Your profile:

A prerequisite for the job is

· a successfully completed study (Diplom/Bachelor) in the field of social education or social work in conjunction with public recognition or a comparable degree

· multi-year professional experience

· Basic knowledge of family law

· Expertise in child development

· strong consulting skills

· Willingness to participate in readiness
