The interface between law and technology enthuses you? Become part of Bird & Bird! We are looking for a lawyer (m/w/d) for our patent litigation team in Düsseldorf.

What you can find As part of the IP international practice group, you will consult national and international companies, especially in the areas of life sciences, electronics, telecommunications and the automotive industry. You are part of the team that conducts major international patent disputes both on the plaintiff and on the defendant side, and are concerned in particular with questions of patent infringement and legal status. You take part projects very quickly and work together in the team with lawyers and patent lawyers:inside. You write lawsuits and other documents and participate in oral proceedings with the Unified Patent Court (UPC), with the national state courts (Land and Oberlandesgerichts with jurisdiction in patent law, Bundespatentgericht, Bundesgerichtshof) and with the European Patent Office.

What you bring You have two above-average state examina and ideally foreign study experience. Insufficient professional experience and well-founded knowledge in the field of patent litigation distinguish you. (3-5 years) You bring a strong technical interest, but patent-related knowledge is not absolutely necessary. Very good knowledge of German and English and a professional, strong communication belong to your strengths. You are interested in (process) legal issues as well as economic relationships and have fun in finding creative solutions.
