Technical Head of Maintenance - Automation & Conveyor Technology (m/f/d)

As a technical department manager maintenance, you are responsible for the safety, stability and performance of a defined plant area in a highly automated environment – with direct influence on the operation and the team behind it. You lead team leaders:inside over several layers, control maintenance and fault management and conduct optimization projects that reduce downtime and continuously develop our systems. No pure management – but forms: in an environment that is constantly evolving and demands leaders who think, decide and improve. Department-Ownership: Total responsibility for a defined technical area (e.g. Variety/Promotion Technology, Pack/AFE or Building Technology) – Availability, stability and compliance included Team Leadership & Development: Leadership:Inside – Performance Management, Coaching, Skill Planning and Talent Development Safety Culture: Proactive Pre-life and Safety Standards (LOTO, SOPs, Audits, Compliance) in Daily Operation Maintenance Strategy: Control Preventive, Conditional (CBM) and Reactive Measures in Your Division – PM Quality, Backlog and Layer Transfers Included Disruption & Escalation Management: Fast prioritization and decision-making, sustainable error removal by RCA/5-Why – less unplanned silences KPI-based control: Analysis of relevant key figures (OEE, MTTR, PM compliance, backlog) and deriving concrete action plans Optimization projects: Leading internal projects to improve availability, security and efficiency – from planning to success measurement Service coordination: Control of external companies incl. Safety briefings, quality management and resource planning Interface Management: Close cooperation with Operations, WHS/Safety, Engineering and Controls to stabilize and further develop your department A day in the life Your day begins with clarity: KPIs, open tickets, PM plan, backlog, risks – and a clear focus for your department. Shift Review: Analyze handover, set priorities, align team On-Floor Leadership: Tours, Safety Checks, Coaching – close to happening, close to the team Troubleshooting: coordinate disturbances, integrate stakeholders, ensure sustainable fixes Prevention & Planning: secure PM quality, advance CBM approaches, focus resources on the biggest loss drivers Projects & Improvements: Leading optimization projects to increase availability and efficiency measurably Service Providers & Partners: Control external operations, perform acceptances, ensure documentation Reporting: KPI reviews, status updates, coordination with internal partners The role is on site in the logistics center. Depending on the application plan, work in the layer model incl. weekends and nights are required. The Reliability Maintenance Engineering Team (RME) is the technical backbone of our sites. We ensure that highly automated systems run safely, stable and efficient – every day, in every layer. In this role you are more than technical manager: You develop executives, design standards and leave demonstrable improvements.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Complete technical studies (engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, automation technology, etc.) or master:in / technician:in or technical training with several years of relevant professional experience
• Experience in the leadership of technical staff – disciplinary and/or professional
• Professional experience in maintenance or technical operation with complex systems and processes
• Experience in stakeholder management, including cooperation with external service providers
• Advanced knowledge of German and English in word and writing
• willingness to work on site; Layer, weekend and night use possible PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience with automated systems – sorter/promoting technology, packaging/material flow systems or building technology
• Knowledge of Reliability and CI methods: OEE, CBM, RCA/5-Why, FMEA, Standard Work, Lean/Six Sigma
• Experience with CMMS/Maintenance Management Systems (SAP, Maximo, etc.) and KPI-Reporting
• Basic understanding of SPS/PLC systems and cooperation with Controls/Automation
• Experience in project management – optimizations, conversions, standardization, stakeholder alignment
• Experience in handling compliance requirements, audits and technical testing processes
