The centre for musculoskeletal medicine in the Vivantes Klinikum in Friedrichshain has 100 beds and treats over 5,000 adults and 400 children each year. In the chiefly guided interdisciplinary rescue facility, approx. 30,000 accident injured, including more than 150 polytraumatized patients/patients, which are documented and evaluated in the trauma register of the German Society for Accident Surgery (register participation since 2006).
