Literature and data research, participation in tasks of the Unit Processing and evaluation of space-related (vector, grid) and statistical (geo) data, quality assurance Participation in creating and maintaining interactive maps, storymaps and spatially differentiating dashboards Participation in the finalisation (up to Q2/2026) of the project “Fair consumption and free space loss in 2030 – Quantitative assessment of changes in land use Creation of documentation

Expected: enrolled student of the subject Geography, Geoinformatics, Spatial or Urban Planning or a comparable study direction What we need: good knowledge of the application of QGIS or ArcGIS (in particular Pro, Online) Basic knowledge of programming (Python or R) and interest in developing in this area extensive knowledge of work with space-related (vector, grid) and statistical (geo) data Knowledge of the processing of pre-processed remote sensing data and specialist data Ability to work independently after appropriate incorporation Joy in team collaboration and an open-minded and helpful way of working German language skills of the language level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (applicants whose first language is not the German language, we ask for proof) and good English language skills

The working time is regularly 14 hours/week. The fee is €14.54 gross per hour. The employment relationship is limited until 31.12.2027. We are expanding our data and information offerings in particular through analyses and products such as dashboard, storymaps and Web-GIS offerings and looking for a SHK that is involved in the team in the longer term.
