Product Manager for Optronic-Precision Mechanical Products in Military Technology (m/f/d)

Responsibility for the development of product line strategy ''Vizations for handarms and handheld observation systems', product roadmap and product market plans Strategic orientation of the product group within the framework of strategic planning Development and management of the product portfolio in the field of optoelectronic products for military use, with a focus on Vizations (e.g. target optics), night vision devices (e.g. infrared and thermal vision systems) as well as optronic observation devices (e.g. spectra and multi-sensor systems) for the infanteristic field of application Monitoring the competitive landscape and integration of new technologies such as AI-based image processing or hybrid sensor technology Responsibility for the further development of the product line through continuous consideration and research of product-relevant market and competitors information. U.a. by participation in trade fairs and symposiums Technical support for sales e.g. by accompaniment of sales in customer appointments, delivery of product-specific sales documents, support in the production of technically correct functional descriptions, data sheets and product brochures Analysis of customer and usage data for identifying technical optimization potentials in performance, scalability and user experience Market analysis and identification of trends in military technology, including regulatory requirements (e.g. NATO standards) Creation of product roadmaps as part of the future orientation of the responsible product portfolio Implementation of requirements in structured specifications as a template for the production of functional patterns, prototypes and serial devices Cooperation with interdisciplinary teams (development, production, sales and quality assurance) to define product requirements, prototype development and market launch Professional leadership and support of a dedicated, dynamic team of project leaders Technical support of development projects to ensure a practical outcome Customer support and consulting, including presentations at armed forces, authorities and partners Creating cooperation strategies Conducting technical product demonstrations and system presentations (remote, live or on-site) for military customers with representation of functional and technical performance parameters Development and maintenance of customer relationships with a focus on the technical analysis of system requirements and mission scenarios

Completed studies in the field of industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, electronics, or a comparable discipline Industrial knowledge Defence Military background and action-proof handling at military level is advantageous Knowledge of military or civilian weapons systems Knowledge of optronic systems and their military applications (e.g. sighting technologies, optronics and observation systems) Multiannual professional experience in product management, ideally in the defense or optoelectronics industry Very good technical understanding combined with strategic thinking High affinity for innovative technologies with the ability to anticipate complex requirements as marketable products Embossed team skills, communication skills and interpersonal interface management Strong analytical skills, strategic thinking and pronounced communication strength Enforcement and solution-oriented working style Ability to visually convey complex relationships Good skills in presentation and presentation Ability to work parallel in several projects Very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing; other languages of advantage Ready to travel
