The area of business development is a central interface between institutes, board and administration of the research centre. The implementation of innovation and transfer, the support of national and international cooperation and the promotion of young scientists are essential services for research. The scientific adequate controlling department (UE-C) is responsible for the key figures of the research centre, which are transmitted to grantors in mandatory reports or published in internal and external reports. In addition, the programmatic planning is located within the framework of the program-oriented promotion of the Helmholtz Association at UE-C. In investment management, UE-C is responsible for central investment planning within the research centre. The first priority of your task is the central investment planning within the Research Centre and therefore the responsibility for the centrally funded Structural and Development Fund (STEF) You will demonstrate your cooperative skills by providing support for expansion investments > 2.5 million euros in close coordination with the scientific institutes and the Financial and Controlling department (F). In addition, in cooperation with science and the research management department (UE-F), you will coordinate the Jülich participation in the Strategic Investments Process > 15 million Euro of the Helmholtz Association New large-scale projects, despite additional funding, usually have a significant internal financing requirement, often over a long period of time, and must be planned early and permanently. The coordination of these financing needs within the framework of kick-off meetings is your responsibility In the second focus of your task, you support the department management in all questions concerning the programmatic controlling of the research centre You accompany the programmatic aspects of internal planning and reporting You shall ensure that appeals and other special circumstances are taken into account in the context of internal financial planning.

You have successfully completed a science or business studies (Master) and ideally you already have very good knowledge and experience in the field of investment management. You are used to conceptual and independent work and have a great interest in working in complex topics You have SAP knowledge and can be quickly accessed in other IT systems Your strong analytical and strategic mindset helps you to keep an overview even in challenging situations and focus on the essentials You have a high level of communicative and social competence as well as a binding and secure occurrence towards internal and external partners You have very good English skills, both oral and written (at least B2 level after the GER), ideally proven by a certificate.
