Director Product Development (m/w/d)

THE POSITION - That is what we are talking about As Director Product Development (m/w/d), you take over the professional and disciplinary leadership of our Product Development department and are responsible for the strategic and technical development of our transport management system (TMS).

You lead the conceptual and technical product development of our transport management system and drive innovation forward. You lead group leaders and development teams professionally/disciplineally and promote an agile, product-oriented culture. Together with the teams, You define product visions, roadmaps and technical standards for scalable software solutions. You are responsible for software architecture, quality assurance and modern development methods. You control budgets and resources to efficiently implement product targets. You act as an interface between management, development and stakeholders to translate market requirements into technical solutions. You promote the training of your teams in relevant technologies and methods.

Successfully completed studies in computer science, business informatics or comparable focus. Long-standing experience in software product development, ideally in the field of logistics software, TMS or comparable systems. Proven expertise in leadership of development teams and design of software architectures. Practical experience with modern technology stacks, development tools and agile methods (e.g. Kanban, Scrum, SAFe). Experience with cloud-based platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure) or SaaS products. Strong analysis and solution orientation for complex product challenges. High leadership motivation, communication strength and entrepreneurial thinking. Current knowledge of German and English.
