Technical Editor – Campingtechnik & Zubehör (m/w/d) Administration | Professional | 64331 You create high-quality user manuals and technical documentation for our product range – from electrical extension kits to camping accessories. In close cooperation with a data manager responsible for the XML, PIM and DAM infrastructure, their content is the essential basis for multilingual translation workflows – both through human and automated translation. It is a mid-level job for an experienced technical editor or an experienced technical editor who can work independently and at the same time cooperate closely with the teams of product, compliance and compliance. Documentation creation Write clear, precise and well-structured user manuals and assembly instructions in German and English. Ensure compliance with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements, including CE-related documentation obligations, GPSR 2023/988 and relevant product safety standards. Content systems & cooperation Cooperation with the Data Manager in content integration and publication in PIM and DAM systems. Supporting the further development of documentation workflows towards more structured author formats, including XML-based and DITA-compatible approaches. Work with translation management systems and support multilingual output pipelines. Maintenance of versioning, document history and clear name conventions for instructions and technical documents. Text data cleaning for selected content to support data governance and ensure data integrity. Regulatory & technical competence Reading, interpreting and implementing relevant industrial standards and normative documents. Navigate complex interfaces between technical product specifications and regulatory requirements. Currently, EU product safety legislation is relevant to our product categories. Supporting internal stakeholders with documentation contributions for technical documentation, compliance documentation and risk related materials. KI & Digital Tools Use of LLM-based tools for content review, consistency check and text optimization. Safe handling in web and data environments including PIM, DAM and CMS platforms. Self-fulfilment of transferred tasks with a high degree of self-responsibility – independent workload and documentation pipeline management without hidden dependencies to other departments or stakeholders.

proven experience in the technical editorial office, ideally in the manufacturing, automotive, outdoor or consumer goods industry. German or C1+ level; professional English skills. Basic confidentiality with XML-based content (complete XML authentication not required). Experience in dealing with or beside PIM and DAM systems. Impressed ability to read and apply regulatory and normative documents. Strong communication and cooperation capabilities with the ability to work together across functions with product management, quality, compliance and digital. Background in technical communication, engineering or technical craftsmanship with pronounced writing competence. Systematic, detailed thinking with comfort in technically complex environments. Basic knowledge of DITA or structured author concepts (oXygen, Arbortext or similar). Experience with translation management systems or CAT tools (e.g. Redokun, memoQ, SDL Trados). Personal interest in camping, campervans or vehicle technology. Confidence with InDesign or similar desktop publishing tools.
