Intern Mechanical Development of Exhaust Gas Turbocharging (Compulsory Internship)

Number: MER0003UGK Exhaust gas temperatures up to 860°C, rotational speeds up to 235,000 rpm, charging pressures up to 3 bar. These alone are fascinating characteristics, but by far not everything you should know about diesel exhaust turbochargers. The team is responsible for the mechanical development and testing of turbocharger technologies of all Mercedes-Benz car engines. This includes the entire development process from the design for future engine projects to market launch. In your internship with a preferred duration of 6 months, you will be given the opportunity to participate in the entire development process in a tight shoulder closure. Your tasks include: Component support of exhaust gas turbochargers and peripheral parts on the engine and in the vehicle

Assessment of components in test and test bench cycles

Engine data analysis to evaluate the test results of test components

Cooperation in the preparation of test bench programs for testing exhaust gas turbochargers

Dismantling and finding of test parts

Own-responsible organisation of component determination

The activity can start from 01.03.26 or 01.04.26.

Study in the field of mechanical engineering, vehicle engineering or comparable degree programme

Advanced knowledge of the course

MS Office

German and English in Word and Writing

Driving licence B
