As a transmission system operator, we secure the power supply for around eleven million people in Baden-Württemberg. We create the infrastructure for the energy transition by maintaining, optimizing and expanding the high-voltage network according to needs. With our network, we not only make the country an innovative power turntable in the heart of Europe, but also make the energy system of the future significant. System operation is responsible for the stability of our power grid. The special IT department provides the necessary critical IT infrastructure and complex applications – from network control to the optimization of power imbalances in Europe – all this from its own state-of-the-art data center in Wendlingen. You take responsibility for the dynamic security bill and thus make a significant contribution to ensuring the safety, effectiveness and efficiency of network operation With the dynamic safety calculation, you expand our forecasts and plans to allow the dynamic behaviour of our electricity grid and thus the extensive use of renewable energies and innovative equipment such as the grid booster. You are part of an agile DevSecOps team with end-to-end responsibility for all aspects of the operation, the further development of the dynamic security bill, and the coordination of change and release management In the team, you are responsible for application and system administration, the operation of test automation and database connection You ensure first and second level support and participate in a changing, additionally remunerated readiness

You have administrated complex database-based applications as well as Linux and Windows systems after your studies or professional training in IT. You bring knowledge of automation through scripts or programs with You are familiar with relational databases (e.g. Oracle) as well as virtualized applications and are interested in developing yourself and your knowledge You work with the technical implementation of new concepts and ideas and continuously develop our complex IT infrastructure You are characterized by an independent, structured and analytical way of working, team skills and willingness to learn – if necessary, act flexibly, are helpful and committed You are motivated to cooperate in the critical IT of power grid operation at the success of the energy transition
