Systemadministrator/-in Linux und Virtualisierung (m/w/d) We are looking for the Office for Digitization, Organization and IT (DO.IT) of the Landeshauptstadt Stuttgart. The place shall be occupied without delay. The Team Platforms is part of the Technical Infrastructure and IT Security Division. We ensure the stable operation of the Linux and virtualization platforms of the state capital of Stuttgart. We focus on the further development and operation of the Proxmox and VMware environments. In addition, we are responsible for central databases, backup solutions and the integration of security-relevant standards.

A completed university degree (Bachelor) in the field of computer science, information technology or in a comparable field or a completed training as a specialist/in system integration, digital networking or data and process analysis or a comparable IT training – with at least 3-year relevant professional experience Knowledge of Linux systems (e.g. Debian, Ubuntu) and virtualization technologies such as Proxmox and VMware vSphere experience in automation and script creation with common languages (e.g. Bash, Python, Perl, PHP); Knowledge of C is advantageous You have detectable practice in the field of IT security, ideally with basic BSI protection, ISO 27001 or KRITIS You are familiar with common tools for automation, configuration management and monitoring (e.g. Ansible, Git, Icinga, Prometheus) Additional certifications (e.g. LPI, RHCE, VMware VCP) are desirable
