DEIN ECONOMIC AREA As Senior Underwriting Manager (m/w/d) in the medical risk assessment at ottonova, you are the focal point of our application examination and risk analysis:

New application & brokerage: The medical examination and evaluation of applications, as well as clarification of open points (also by telephone) are in your hand. On the basis of health information, medical reports, findings and diagnosis, you evaluate medical facts and, in accordance with our policy guidelines, meet informed decisions regarding acceptance, risk supplements, exclusions or rejections Stock business: You take (risk-relevant) audits in stock business, e.g. in case of collective agreements, child insurance, or in case of pre-contractual ad breach You analyze medical documents, medical reports and findings and are in exchange with our experts and departments Interface work & knowledge transfer:You work closely with our experts from Claims Management, Sales, Actuariat and Legal Department to find holistic solutions for ottonova and our insurers Your expertise in the medical risk assessment will help your team, colleagues from the partner departments and our insurers as an expert contact person to optimally support the transfer of knowledge Further development & optimization: Our underwriting policies and decision-making standards actively shape your knowledge and experience and ensure that internal requirements match the current legal and medical developments. You actively participate in the further development and improvement of our processes and thus secure risk-oriented and customer-oriented decision-making

In order to be accessible to both our insurers and our colleagues as contact persons and to give us flexibility in the planning of our everyday life, we organize our working days in layers. We define these as a team varying.

The basis of your profile is a completed training in insurance, e.g. as a merchant for insurance and finance or medical training.

You have well-founded experience in medical risk assessment of a private health insurance or life insurance You have comprehensive medical knowledge (terminology, disease images) and have a sense of risk-relevant topics and relationships You could ideally already gain experience with the Insurance Contract Act, in particular § 19 VVG (disclosure obligation) You complete your knowledge through knowledge of German and English (min. C1)
