Head of Transport Logistics (m/f/d)

Acquisition of overall responsibility for the logistics business unit including responsibility for earnings and budget Leadership, motivation and further development of the teams in driving, disposition and administration Strategic control and continuous optimization of transport and logistics processes Responsibility for the economic utilisation of the fleet and cooperation with external partners and subcontractors Responsibility for costing, controlling and billing of all transport services for private and foreign vehicles Control of cost, performance and earnings development based on relevant KPIs and continuous analysis and optimization of operating costs, in particular in the fields of fuel, toll and personnel Conducting and implementing digitalization projects with special focus on the further development and automation of billing processes Negotiating freight rates and contract conditions and ensuring a sustainable market position Identification and implementation of optimization potentials to increase efficiency, quality and cost-effectiveness Active participation of the future orientation and further development of the logistics area in close cooperation with the management

A successfully completed training or study with a focus on logistics, forwarding or business management as well as well as well-founded professional experience in the transport and logistics industry Multiannual experience in the leadership of teams and in the control of operational logistics processes Impressed business understanding and experience in costing, controlling and cost management Strategic thinking combined with a pragmatic hands-on mentality High sense of decision, sense of responsibility and implementation Communication skills, negotiation security and a sovereign appearance towards employees, customers and business partners Analytical skills and a structured and targeted way of working Motivation to actively shape processes and advance the further development of a successful logistics area
