The project “Digital Administration” supports the digital transformation of central administration processes at the University of Leipzig. The aim is to analyze, optimize existing processes and establish future-oriented digital solutions together with the participating organizational units.

The bodyholder is responsible for information and data management across the administrative systems involved. The focus is on the translation of technical requirements into technical solutions, the design of information and data architecture, the technical control of BI solutions and the development of cross-border role and authorization concepts. The role works closely with the departments, the university planning, the university data center (URZ) and external service providers.

These are your tasks

• Translation of technical requirements from administrative areas into technical solutions for key figures and reporting to the management of the university
• Technical and technical control of the implementation of BI solutions and standard reports, including own conception and possibly Creation of reports and dashboards within the framework of the project, in cooperation with URZ, external service providers and the technical data governance area
• Conception and maintenance of information and data architecture (scientific view) across management systems
• Technical-methodic participation in the design, modelling and maintenance of organizational data and overarching master data in close coordination with the responsible departments and external service providers
• Development and maintenance of comprehensive role and authorization concepts in coordination with data protection, IT security and specialist areas
• Documentation of data and reporting structures and the ability of key users and multipliers to use BI and data solutions
• Preparation of decision templates for project management and project bodies

This will bring you with

• completed university studies in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Information Management, Economics with IT focus or a comparable subject area
• multiannual professional experience in information and data management, data architecture or implementation management of BI solutions
• detectable experience in the translation of technical requirements in technical data and reporting solutions
• secure handling of BI and reporting tools as well as basic understanding of data models and data structures
• very good knowledge of German in word and writing (min. level C1)
• Practical experience in the independent design and development of reports and dashboards with common BI tools (e.g. HIS-BI, Power BI, Tableau, Qlik) is desired
• Knowledge in SQL or work with relational databases and data modeling are advantageous
• Experience with authorization and role concepts in administration or ERP systems is desirable
• Experience with methods and tools of agile project management (e.g. JIRA, Confluence) is advantageous

• Ability to communicate between technical and technical perspectives
