A 10 BBesO; E10 TV EntgO-DRV Activity Database Management is responsible for the database operation of the data centers of the German Pension Insurance. Our Team Database Transition is responsible for planning and designing the Oracle databases for all pension insurance providers. As a central part of the IT architecture, we play an important role in enabling the smooth processing of pensions.

You actively shape the high-availability Oracle databases with multiple data centers, including: Working with IT expert analyses and developing and implementing concepts, standards and guidelines for the DRV Bund IT Support in planning and coordinating the introduction of new Oracle products and creating the corresponding documentation Programming of scripts to automate tasks in the database environment Monitor and control IT procedures and support bug analysis and regular updates for our Oracle databases and products Participation in IT security and IT quality assurance measures and implementation of instruction measures Maintain and initiate test positions

A completed university education (Bachelor, Diploma) in the IT sector or an equivalent qualification, e.g. an IT-specific qualification, a completed vocational training as a specialist informant*in or comparable practical experience in the IT sector Found knowledge of Oracle RDBMS and related products First practical experience in database administration Knowledge and experience in recognizing, analyzing and correcting error states in Oracle databases as well as operating systems (Unix / Linux, Shell) Ideally, you already experience the operation of highly available databases on Engineered Systems / EXADATA as well as experience with automation tools (for example, Ansible and Gitlab) Experiences in project work as well as in the production and handling of documentation are also desirable.
