As head:in the youth office, with currently approx. 220 full-time positions in the core administration as well as employees in the 78 municipal nursery institutions, are responsible for the technical, strategic and financial management of all departments of the Office. In addition to child, youth and family support, this includes, for example, municipal nursery institutions, child and youth support, youth assistance planning, official guards and support. The following priority tasks and responsibilities include this management function: General responsibility for the tasks as a public body of youth assistance in close cooperation with the Youth Assistance Committee strategic development of a demand-oriented and efficient infrastructure for children and young people, in particular in the areas of childcare facilities, assistance for education and child and youth promotion Development and implementation of a preventive, impact and resource-oriented youth assistance strategy for the city Management of youth and social policy development processes in line with the Integrated Urban Development Concept (INSEK) cooperative cooperation with free institutions of youth assistance, educational institutions, social services and other local actors Total responsibility for personnel planning, development and management in close cooperation with department and property management Budget-responsibility and formulation of clear targets in individual departments and subject areas We are also important: You support the mayor and maintain close and constructive cooperation with all the business areas of the city administration Chemnitz as well as with the political bodies and mandates of the city. You lead and motivate your employees:insides with high outcome orientation and support them in implementing their tasks, plans and projects. You represent the Youth Office and the city of Chemnitz in regional and supraregional networks.

Your profile: a completed university degree in the fields of administration, social sciences, social management or a comparable subject Compliance with the requirements of the expert bid pursuant to § 72 para.
