Developing standards for high availability, backup/recovery, security and monitoring
Assessment of appropriate database technologies taking into account requirements, costs, scalability and operating aspects
Advising development departments on technological issues relating to databases
Support for architectural decisions and platform strategies
Documentation and continuous optimization of central database services

Experience with multiple database technologies
