Project Manager in the project “Strengthening Ukrainian Civil Protection Capabilities VI” in Department G.3 “Bilateral Cooperation and International Projects” (m/f/d)

The BBK is the head office of the Federal Government for National Crisis Management in Germany. We ensure the quality of crisis management in a central coordination role with federal, international and cross-sector partners. In view of this task, our interdisciplinary team is growing steadily. We are looking for dedicated professionals who want to make Germany more crisis-proof. We are looking at the next time fixed by 31.12.2028 with the option for extension a project manager (w/m/d) Group E 13 TVöD (Bund) in the project “Strengthening Ukrainian Civil Protection Skills VI” in the Unit G.3 “Bilateral Cooperation and International Projects” at the office of Bonn.

You take over the technical project management in the above-mentioned project and coordinate all project activities. These include: Strategic project management – You plan and control the international project holistic, define targets and milestones and ensure that time, budget and quality requirements are met. You run the project at all stages – from concept development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of project processes and results. Information management – You coordinate cooperation with international partners, clients and the internal team and ensure an effective, transparent flow of information. Risk management and solution development – you recognise risks at an early stage, develop pragmatic solutions and implement suitable measures to ensure smooth project development. Events – You are responsible for the preparation and follow-up, the implementation of international events and project measures as well as international trips and ensure the sustainability of the project activities. Support for procurement – you evaluate procurement processes in the overall context of the project and support the procurement of equipment for the project country.

You have successfully completed a university degree (Master/Diplom [Univ.]) in a course related to the subject (e.g. political sciences, international relations, disaster prevention and disaster management, social sciences). You have several years of experience in project management and international project work, ideally in project management and master common project management methods and tools. You possess analytical thinking and have the ability to quickly capture complex facts and cross-references and to prepare them for different audiences. You're a team player. Their work is structured, independent and solution-oriented and characterized by sense of responsibility. A very good expressiveness in German and English (German C2/English B2 according to GER) in word and writing completes your profile. Other foreign languages, especially Ukrainian, are advantageous. Ideally, you already have knowledge of the German population protection system. You bring the willingness to longer service trips in Germany and abroad as well as to the performance of service at unfavourable times. Since our tasks are safety-relevant and event-oriented, we also need your willingness to extend the security review under the Security Audit Act and to participate in the BBK crisis organisation in the event.
