The Technical University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt (THWS) is one of the largest practice-oriented universities in Bavaria and covers a wide range of subjects with the fields of technology, social and economic sciences, design and languages. We accompany around 9,300 students in more than 70 courses on their educational path. Since 2022, THWS has been certified by the audit family-friendly university in order to meet the diversity of life plans and family forms and to actively promote the reconciliation of the profession and family of their employees. The University Service Sustainability and Properties (HSNL) has as its main tasks the development and structural anchoring of sustainable practices in the university, the administrative and professional management of THWS' construction and renovation activities, as well as the area management and property management. Currently we have the following place to occupy: University Service Sustainability and Properties Engineer with focus on energy management (w/m/d) in parttime (50%) Application code: 37.1.794 The place shall be occupied at the next possible time, the place of service shall be located in Würzburg. The employment is first terminated until 31.12.2027 and in parttime (20 hours/week). An extension is possible in principle.

You play a key role in building and strategic development of THWS' energy management. Their main objective is the independent implementation and control of a certified energy management system according to DIN EN ISO 50001 – from design to successful external certification. In detail, you expect the following tasks: Establishment, introduction and continuous development of a central, certified energy management system (DIN EN ISO 50001) for the sustainable increase in energy efficiency at THWS Conception and accompaniment of the measurement infrastructure, including counter structure, sensor technology and measurement concepts – if necessary also participation in the initial implementation Energy monitoring and analysis: evaluation of energy flows, identification of conspicuousness in consumption, development of meaningful energy characteristics and derivation of concrete savings and optimization potentials Planning and implementation of internal audits as well as expert support for external certification and monitoring audits Advice, training and awareness of university members: implementation of internal information and training events to promote sustainable, energy-efficient higher education Ensuring legal and normative compliance: Maintaining the legal catastrophe, monitoring legal requirements and compiling the annual energy report

successfully completed university studies (e.g. Bachelor or FH Diploma), in a relevant field, preferably in the course of study Energy or Environmental technology and

• management, or a comparable relevant qualification at least 3 years of relevant professional experience in a similar function (energy management according to DINISO 50001, audits, certification processes and energy monitoring) technical understanding in building and energy technology Experience with interdisciplinary teams and work in the university context is desirable high level of commitment and self-responsibility associated with the ability to quickly work into new issues and issues a stylistic approach to German language and good English skills
