It has modern possibilities of interventional bronchoscopy (e.g. rigid bronchoscopy, EBUS-TBNA, stent implantation, cryobiopsy/rekanalisation, miniprobe, etc.). The interventions are carried out in two bronchoscopy laboratories.

ECMO therapy and a 24/7 bronchoscopy readiness are available via the Internalist Intensive Station, which is also operated by the Klinik für Innere Medizin II. There are close cooperations, among others, with the Thorax Surgery section (Section Manager Prof. Dr. B. Mühling) and the Comprehensive Cancer Center Ulm. Pneumooncological patients are ambulatoryly supervised by pneumology within the medical oncological daily clink (MOT).
