Technical Buyer (m/f/d)

You work in a direct line of reports to the technical manager and agree closely with the central contacts from production and technology as well as the heads of the technical fields. You accompany investment projects in the machine and plant environment and are responsible for the associated procurement processes from the determination of demand through the collection of offers and evaluation to the conclusion of the contract. You take over the purchase of machinery, equipment, technical components and spare parts and support the technical areas in ensuring an economical and reliable supply. You evaluate technical and economic options together with the departments and act in decisions between repair of existing plants and replacements or replacements. New orders. You conduct negotiations with suppliers and service providers at prices, delivery conditions, service volumes and contractual framework conditions. You further expand existing supplier relationships and ensure a durable supplier structure for machinery, spare parts, repairs and technical services. You observe procurement markets and identify suitable suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness, availability and security of supply.

You have technical or commercial training or a study with technical or economic reference. Ideally, you will bring several years of experience in technical purchasing, in the capital goods environment or in a comparable function at the interface of technology and procurement. You have a strong technical understanding and can understand and evaluate technical requirements in the machine and plant sector. You have ideally collected contact points with machines, plants, spare parts, maintenance or technical services. You bring well-founded shopping experience and have the necessary negotiating strength to successfully negotiate prices, delivery conditions and contract conditions with suppliers. You work in a structured manner, are happy to agree with different disciplines and understand themselves as a commercial partner for production and technology. You have good English skills in word and writing.
