Our Market Intelligence & Geoeconomics department is the competence center for global economic developments and automotive sales markets of Mercedes-Benz Group AG. The team prepares business and automotive market analyses and forecasts as part of regular reports. These analyses and forecasts are closely involved in the company's planning processes. In addition, we perform an early warning function to detect the changes in the market environment relevant to Mercedes-Benz and to derive recommendations for action for top management.

These challenges include: Monitoring, evaluation and forecasting of the relevant sales markets for cars and transporters for the Mercedes-Benz Group Application of data-driven analysis methods and statistical forecast models within the framework of the sales forecast Updating and maintaining the cloud-based data infrastructure for automotive market forecasts updating, use and independent development of dashboards for data visualization and internal communication of analysis results Processing diverse ad-hoc requests regarding sales expectations and macroeconomic issues Creation of presentations for top management and various presentations

Degree in Economics, Data Science, Mathematics, Business Informatics, Industrial Engineering or Comparative Qualification Secure knowledge of German and English in word and writing Safe handling of MS Office Good knowledge of relevant programming languages for the development of forecasting models (preferably R, Python) Experience in the field of econometry desirable Ideally experience in data visualization and development of dashboards (e.g. Power BI) Commitment and team skills Analytical thinking and strategic working enthusiasm for the automotive industry and/or economic issues Questions about the job will be answered to you by Mr. Finish from the department at +49 160-860-5222.
