Analysis, integration and interpretation of high-dimensional Omics data files in the context of translational research and diagnostic projects Bioinformatic evaluation of bulk RNA sequence single-cell and single-nucleus RNA-Seq CITE-Seq ATAC-Seq NGS-based data files Metabolomics and Proteomics data Development, expansion and maintenance of analysis pipelines for Omics data (including quality control, normalization, annotation and statistical evaluation) Multi-omics integration (e.g. transcriptomics) –Epigenomics –Metabolomics –Proteomics) for deriving biologically and clinically relevant hypotheses Close cooperation with experimental scientists:inside, clinicians:inside Support in the methodological implementation of bioinformatic workflows in translational and, if appropriate, clinical contexts Participation in the production of scientific publications, third-party equipment and presentations
Complete academic studies with PhD (e.g. Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, System Biology, Biostatistics, Molecular Medicine or related disciplines) Proven practical experience in the analysis of Omics data files, in particular: bulk and single-cell RNA-Seq CITE-Seq and/or ATAC-Seq ideally Metabolomics and/or Proteomics Very good programming knowledge in R, experience with relevant bioconductor frameworks (e.g. Seurat, SingleCellExperiment, edgeR, DESeq2) Good to very good knowledge of Python (e.g. Scanpy, Pandas, NumPy, SciPy) Experience in the construction, adaptation and documentation of reproducible analysis pipelines (e.g. with Snakemake, Nextflow, Git) Information for statistical methods, data integration and visualization of complex data devices Structured, self-contained operation as well as elaborate team and communication skills Interest in translational research and the application of bioinformatic methods in the medical context
