The Hardware Supply Chain Management and Logistics department provides comprehensive services of supply chain management and logistics for hardware components in the IT environment for all BWI business areas. Standardised business transactions (rollout, moving, rollback) are used. The entire process, starting with the hardware demand requirement, is responsible for the control of the logistics service managers (storage, production, transport, on-site logistics), inventory control and the clarification of order and inventory data in operational operation. The Rollback business incident also includes secure data deletion as well as reuse, marketing or disposal by a certified disposal specialist. The Hardware Supply Chain Management and Logistics department is responsible for the design of BWI wide logistics processes, their documentation and accompanying implementation in commercial and technical systems. The range of services and products is continuously expanded in customer requirements and after commissioning by portfolio management.
