Workday HCM Functional Lead (m/f/d)

As a functional lead, you play a central role in our HR transformation programs with Workday. You advise customers on HR, IT, Workday and industry-specific best practices, see the functional overall architecture, tailor-made solutions for our customers and lead organizations to successful Go-Lives. In close cooperation with internal and customer-side project managers and technical leads, you shape the functional strategy and meet important directional decisions. Depending on the size and complexity of the project, you also take specialized workday guide roles (e.g. Core HCM or Core Compensation Lead).

You guide the functional Workday HCM streams across all project phases (Plan, Design, Build, Test, Deploy, Hypercare). You guide customer workshops to collect functional requirements, to define target processes and roles, and to define global design principles. You translate business requirements into workday configurations and advise customers on technical possibilities as well as local and industry-specific requirements. Depending on the project size, you will take additional roles (e.g. Project Lead, Core HCM Lead, Core Compensation Lead) and enter the support consultants assigned to you. You control internal and customer-side project members (on site, nearshore, offshore) and review test activities (SIT, UAT, Parallel Payroll) until the acceptance. You advise customers on decisions and actions in the field of release management, governance and support according to the Go-Live. You support the leadership team in pre-sales activities (scoping, estimates, offers, presentations) and contribute to the growth of our HR solution portfolio. You guide the Randstad team from functional workday consultants and their training and plan the current need with the leadership team.

You have at least 3–5 years of experience with Workday HCM in a consulting environment. You're Workday-HCM certified. Additional certifications are a plus, for example in Core Compensation, Reporting & Analytics, Security, Talent & Performance, Recruiting or Project Management. You have strong skills in customer consulting at different organisational levels and have proven experience in managing workshops. You have experience with implementations across different industries and countries. You speak for negotiation (C1) German and English.
