These are your tasks

• Creation and documentation of findings, treatment targets and patient-related correspondence with external organisations
• independent implementation of diagnostics, individual and group therapies (stationary, semi-stationary and outpatient)
• Participation in the courses to be carried out (teacher in the subject of psychosomatic medicine)
• University research with opportunities for scientific qualification in the funded UMEA project
• Implementation of project-related tasks and fulfilling the obligations towards the sponsor (Medical Faculty of the University of Duisburg-Essen)
• Participation in the development of the internal research infrastructure
• Supporting thesis and research interns

• Diploma or Master's degree in Psychology

What we need

• They are located in the second half of the training for psychological psychotherapist/psychological psychotherapists (usually after the intermediate examination) or the completion of the training is a maximum of three years back
• They have an above-average cumulative or publication-based promotion, which is no longer than 2 years behind, and have published at least four peer-reviewed original works (at least three in first or last authorship)
• Positively rated UMEA funding request with written commitment on funding
• Experience in the independent implementation of both individual and group therapies and willingness to develop further clinical and outpatient methods and concepts
• Interest in multi-professional, labour-part team work
• Professional qualification, above-average level of creativity and commitment
• Experience in the project work of multicentric and interdisciplinary third-party projects
• Knowledge of research methods and the use of statistical programs (e.g. SPSS, JASP, R etc.)
• experience in carrying out quantitative or qualitative or experimental research or psychophysiological studies (e.g. in master thesis or research internship)
• Extensive knowledge and experience in the processing of scientific questions in the subjects mentioned
• Excellent interest in innovative and interdisciplinary research approaches
• Motivation to implement practical research projects
• Very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing

The LVR-University Hospital Essen is a specialist clinic for psychiatry, psychotherapy and psychosomatics with 376 beds and the departments: Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, Clinic for Dependent Behavior and Such Medicine, Department of Psychosomatics, Psychiatry and Psychotherapy of the Child and Youth Age, Clinic for Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy, Institute for Psychiatry and Sexual Research.
