Your role: Patent strategies Advising the field of patent strategies taking into account the competitive-protection situation (e.g. circumvention/defence of existing patents from competitors).

Legal development/legality Observe and analyse the current legislation and jurisdiction in patent, utility and design law in Germany, abroad and with regard to supranational conventions in the field of industrial property, as well as in the field of employee inventor law. Permanent adaptation of one's own working methods to the current legal situation.

Protection work/portfolio management Creating and securing a wide range of scenarios, which are characterised by the finding of creative solutions, of consulting the area in the aforementioned legal areas. This includes the strategic design of new protective rights positions and the management of ongoing licensing procedures for patent applications in Germany and abroad.

Risk analyses Avoid the violation of foreign property rights by analyzing the respective scope of protection in relation to relevant products. Creating creative solutions to circumvent foreign rights in cooperation with the supervised area.

Protection of disturbing foreign rights Ensure the use of all available legal instruments to limit or destroy disruptive foreign rights. Introducing disputes/negotiations and responsible conduct of proceedings before the German Patent and Trademark Office, the European Patent Office and before the Federal Patent Court, as well as taxes on the corresponding proceedings before the foreign authorities.

Enforcement of protection rights Ensure the application of all available economically viable remedies both in the enforcement of our own rights and in the defence of foreign rights against us. Control of external lawyers and legal advice in the areas.

Contracts Forms of contracts for the areas related to inventions or industrial property rights and the conduct of contract negotiations together with CLP-PL or the areas with the aim of safeguarding the interests of the company/area. Ensure a contractual settlement of license agreements.

External legal advisers Build and coordinate a global lawyer network. Ensure appropriate support, including the coordination of process strategy, with the aim of ensuring the best possible enforcement of corporate interests.

Training/training Schools of team members of the patent department, in particular training of prospective European Patent Attorneys and patent attorneys. Schools of developers and project leaders in the fields of patent research, monitoring of competition rights, patent law and inventions. Schools of the legal network regarding patent strategy and product portfolio.

Process design Editing and designing in particular digital process sequences with respect to Inventions and rights of protection between the field and the patent department and between the patent department and external lawyers with the aim of increasing efficiency and taking into account the current legal situation.

Scientist or engineer (university) and qualification as European Patent Attorney and/or Patent Assor

Mind. 5 years of practical activity in an industrial patent department of a globally active high-tech company with responsibility for worldwide protective law activities or in a patent attorney law firm

Experience in leading and coordinating a global legal network
