IT-Consultant / System Engineer – Modern Workplace & Windows Migration (m/w/d) Location: Mainz | Position: Full time, unlimited The updating of Windows infrastructures is one of our strategic priorities, in particular the Windows 11 migration. To strengthen our Professional Services department, we are looking for a technical lead (m/w/d) that not only creates concepts in the silent chamber, but also implements them actively and close to the customer. You are the technical interface between strategic design and operational implementation.

In this role, you are responsible for the technical design and control of Windows 11 migration projects. You work closely with project management, but you carry out the implementation project yourself. Consulting & Analysis: Recording the actual situation in the customer environments, performing readiness checks and identifying compatibility risks. Concept: Development of customized migration concepts (In-Place Upgrade vs. New Installation, Cloud vs. On-Premise Management). Infrastructure design: planning and adaptation of the necessary infrastructure components (software distribution, server landscape, network requirements). Implementation & Testing: Construction of pilot environments, application packaging and finalization of master images. Professional leadership: Accompanying the operational rollout phase and supporting the second-level support in escalation.

You bring well-founded experience in the Microsoft environment and are not afraid of complex environments. Technical requirements: Operating systems: Deep knowledge in Windows 10/11 as well as experience in the administration of Windows Server landscapes in the current versions. Management & Distribution: Secure handling of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM / SCCM) and/or Microsoft Intune (Modern Management). Scripting: Funded knowledge in PowerShell for automating tasks is absolutely necessary. Understanding: Basic Understanding of Active Directory, Group Policies (GPO) and Network Technologies (DHCP, DNS). Soft skills & personality: As a technical lead, you are more than just a technician – you are an intermediary and designer. Self-responsibility: You realize what to do, structure your work yourself and keep an overview of complex project situations. Readiness to learn: The IT world is turning fast. You have fun working in new technologies (e.g. new Intune features) and using your knowledge. Communication strength: You can also explain technical facts to non-technicians (customers or project managers). Focus on implementation: You set up concepts that work in practice, and take part in implementation itself.
