With us you design as an engineer: in gear development the mobility of tomorrow. You have the chance to develop innovative transmission concepts for electric vehicles – from the first idea to the series – and to redefine efficiency and noise poverty. Be part of a team that shifts technological boundaries and delivers real contribution to sustainable mobility. You define the architecture of planetary gearsets specifically for electric car drive axles, precisely based on the gear requirements with regard to transmission ratios, torque capacity and installation space. Detailed analytical calculations for tooth tensions, bearing loads and component deformations are carried out independently and optimize the tooth geometry with regard to NVH, efficiency and durability. Suitable materials and heat treatments for gears and planet carriers are carefully selected and guide the 3D CAD modelling as well as the creation of technical drawings. You ensure that manufacturing and assembly aspects are fully taken into account in the design process and work closely with other subsystem managers to ensure smooth integration. Check and approve the design of component managers, as well as perform troubleshooting and cause analysis in connection with planetary gearsets. Continuously, you will explore the market for planetary gearset technologies and manufacturing processes to integrate innovative approaches and take into account NVH inspections in the differential. With your solution-oriented and customer-oriented way and looking at the market needs, you set the course for the future of electrification.

Training: completed technical studies with a focus on mechanical engineering, vehicle engineering or comparable experience and know-how: many years of relevant experience in the development of gears and planetary gears; profound expertise in the industrialization of gears, running and fitting gears, shafts, rolling and sliding bearings, freewheels and shaft hub connections; well-founded knowledge of the associated manufacturing technologies such as machining technology, turning and milling parts, heat and surface treatment and hard machining; extensive knowledge of transmission theory; profound expertise in kinematics, dynamics, material sciences and CAD software Personality and working: You manage to guide your team professionally and inspire them through motivating communication; you draw your attention through a clear, structured and systematic way of working, which also ensures an overview in complex projects Languages: very good German and English in word and writing *The gross annual salary for this body is, according to our regulations, at least EUR 86,000 for a 35h week (for a full year of employment and fulfilment of the tariff requirements).
