You support the network operation group in implementation, operation, analysis and Development of network-centric security mechanisms. These include in particular: a high-availability NAT gateway with integrated intrusion prevention system based on Linux Suricata IDS systems on the Internet Netflow/SFLOW-based traffic flow analyses over 300 firewalls based on pfSense Operation and evaluation of a central log server Processing of waste and incident messages generated by the systems Security Information and Event Management System (SIEM) and Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR) support We are a very open team and you get insight into all areas of network operation, can bring you into all services we operate and follow your personal interests. Our group is responsible for the selection, design, installation, operation and troubleshooting of the components mentioned and thus goes far beyond the literal meaning of the term 'network operation'. In cooperation with the other departments at the LRZ, experiences can be gathered and introduced in almost all aspects of IT operation.
