In the Center of Excellence for Optical 3D Measurement Technology, you will develop high-precision, contactless measurement systems from modern hardware and intelligent software – technologies that are used worldwide in development and production.

Your role Conception, development, design and validation of safe optical measuring systems

Coordination with Group IT on Security Standards, in particular in the context of Cyber Resilience Act

Assessment of security requirements and implementation in embedded systems

Conducting Threat and Risk Assessments and Vulnerability Analysis on Embedded Systems

Building, commissioning and testing of prototypes with focus on IT security

Firmware development with focus on cybersecurity (e.g. secure updates, secure boot, hardening)

Conception, adaptation and curing of Linux-based embedded processing systems

Complete studies in electrical engineering, computer science or a comparable technical course

Found experience with embedded systems, Linux, bootloaders (e.g. submarine), Yocto

Secure programming skills in C/C++ and ideally Python

Practical experience in cybersecurity, network security and/or cryptography (in the form of student work or internships)

Structured, independent work and pleasure in the combination of hardware proximity and IT security
