The placeholder (m/w/d) of the professorship “Medical Basics” complements and completes the teaching offer of our department through the specific focus on medical content and integrates itself into the existing network of professorships. The professorship takes over the teaching responsibility for medical core contents in all courses of the department, in particular for the primary high-level primary-qualifying nursing course with, among others, preferred priorities: basics of anatomy, physiology, pathology and pharmacology, diagnosis and treatment of selected acute and chronic diseases, Advanced competencies for the exercise of health-related tasks in teaching and acceptance of theoretical and practical examinations as defined in the nursing training and examination regulation Appendix 5(B) (cf. PflStudStG Article 4a(8)) The focus of the professorship is to enable students to understand complex medical contexts and to apply them responsibly and competently in the nursing context. This focus is not only contributing to the further development of academic nursing training, but also to the sustainable strengthening of health care by highly qualified care professionals.
