The High Resolution and Automated Microscopy department is part of the Fraunhofer Translational Neuroinflammation and Automated Microscopy TNM, the Göttingen site of the Fraunhofer Institute for Translational Medicine and Pharmacology ITMP. At Fraunhofer TNM, we improve our understanding of the cellular phenotypes of various diseases and identify potential drug by combining super-resolution microscopy techniques with genome editing and advanced image analysis. As a multidisciplinary team of biologists, physicists, and data scientists, we intend to create added value for clinical and pharmacological research by using super-resolution micros methods. Modern microscopy techniques, search as STED microscopy, enable analysis of protein localization and distribution at the nanometer scale. Thus, previously unknown changes in the structure and dynamics of protein clusters diseased cells of patients can be investigated. The possibility of detecting clinically relevant abnormalities will contribute to a better understanding of cellular changes in various diseases. As a business development manager, you will represent our technologies and services at fairs, engage with potential customers, develop new business opportunities. By market identification and customer needs, you will help us to adapt and refine our portfolio.

Coordinate the external strategic position of the Fraunhofer TNM site and further develop its activities within Fraunhofer health research. Drive the acquisition and growth of research projects, with a focus on industry collaboration. Analyze market trends and customer needs to support portfolio and strategy development. Support the head of the institute in developing business strategies and strategic partnerships. Represent the institute, along with its products and services, at trade fairs and client meetings. Support the team during the production of advertising materials and the management of external communications.

Degree in a natural science field, ideally with a Ph.D. Experience in industry and knowledge of strategic project development Strong project coordination, program management, and communication skills Proficiency in English (written and spoken) A collaborative and personable approach, coupled with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and partners Quick comprehension, a structured and independent work style, and team spirit We are looking for a team member who can build a strong bridge between science and industry, translating scientific expertise into market-relevant solutions and supporting the growth of our institutes.
