We are looking for you to build, operate and continuously develop our Linux-based IT infrastructure Senior Systems Engineer Linux (m/w/d)

in full time (40h/week). At JACOB you take responsibility for our system architecture, operate and optimise complex infrastructures and integrate modern technologies such as container and orchestration solutions. You work closely with development teams, bring your expertise into technical decisions and actively promote the quality and sustainability of our IT landscape.

Your tasks:

Building and developing a sustainable target architecture and implementing technical solutions along clear priorities Operation, administration and maintenance of the responsible infrastructure including Support for internal and external stakeholders Implementation of Proof of Concepts and seamless integration of new systems and technologies into existing infrastructure Creation and review of technical concepts, decision templates and documentation Continuous advancement of infrastructure quality and technical development Consulting and support of developer teams as well as function as technical contact for internal and external stakeholders Active participation of agile ceremonies, planning of technical tasks and transparent progress communication

Which skills you should bring: Complete study of computer science or comparable training with at least 10 years of professional experience Wide range of experience with Linux-based systems and applications, preferably Debian-based distributions Comprehensive knowledge in the network area as well as enhanced debugging of complex network problems Experience with containerization (preferably Kubernetes) and Infrastructure as Code (preferably SaltStack and/or Terraform) Targeted use of modern AI agencies to develop technical concepts, documentation and automated testing Secure communication in German and English as well as driving licence class B Experience with GitLab and GitOps (required, no requirement) You can communicate safely in German and English and have a class B licence
