The SOS Children's Village Brandenburg - a lively place for loving children - is an institution of child and youth assistance with a variety of offers in the outpatient and inpatient area, including children's village families and housing groups.

For our SOS Children's Village Brandenburg we are looking for a Senior Consultant (m/w/d) in parttime (35 hours/Where) Your task: Do you want to give children and adolescents a safe and valuable home? As part of a dedicated six-member team, you will be accompanied by up to eight young people aged 6 to 18. With trauma-sensitive work and deescaling methods, you create stability and development opportunities – equipped with your own educational rooms, single rooms for the children, a fleet of vehicles and interchangeable services. Become part of SOS Children's Village and shape perspectives with heart. In the team with other pedagogical professionals, you will support the children and young people of the group in everyday life. You embrace the individual interests, hobbies and inclinations of the children and integrate them into your promotions. You help with homework and accompany school learning by practicing suitable learning strategies. You contribute to medium- and long-term assistance and education planning, including their implementation. The team supports you in the business and organizational areas. You form a development-promoting relationship and cooperation with parents, youth office and other institutions. In your tasks, take care of the conscientious implementation of child protection and care protection.

Your qualifications and skills: You have completed training as a state-approved educator. In relation to children and young people, you are responsible for the role of a stable, reliable and empathic reference person. You are able to find creative and constructive solutions in conflicts and behavioural vulnerabilities of children. You like to work independently, reflecting the effects of your action at the same time responsibly and foresightly. You can use timely flexible work to your advantage and bring the willingness to shift services. Your handling of proximity and distance to the representatives is professional.
