As Safety Manager (m/w/d), you are the central, independent consultative body of the company (Rheinmetall Technical Publications GmbH, RTP) as a legal entity for all product safety issues. You advise the management and/or the BL Head (m/w/d) in safety-relevant matters, evaluate product safety risks independently of development and program objectives and ensure that the company meets its legal and contractual product safety obligations. In this case, you implement the guidelines, standards and processes at the company level, as specified by the central product safety agency in the Group, adapt them to the specific features of the UAV/UAS product portfolio and monitor their compliance. As Safety Manager (m/w/d), you are the link between the Group's central product safety function, division and society. You act professionally independent and report violations of product security obligations directly to the management/business line management, without notification to the respective program or development line. Your further tasks: Consulting & Representation ggü. Management Central advice, contact point and direct notification of security violations to the management Representation of the department vis-à-vis authorities / project management and cooperation in bodies Demonstration & Conformity Identification of applicable laws, directives, standards and standards relating to product safety Integration of the state of science and technology into the detection and detection of conformity to the state of the art Risk & Requirement Management System and impact analyses for risk identification and measure definition Detection of security/safety requirements to the various disciplines (hardware, software, mechanics) from customer requirements and own analyses Projekt- & Programmberatung Proportional effort and resource planning in relation to the security verification Consultation of projects related to product safety and definition of safety objectives. Reviews, Audits & Documentation Execution of reviews and internal audits as well as monitoring of verification and validation results (V&V activities) regarding the achievement of the safety objectives and compliance of the process Methods and Process Development Further development of in-house methods and processes for implementing the respective safety/safety standards within development projects

Completed (specialized) university studies in the field of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, physics or comparable discipline Certification / Detection in System Safety, Functional Safety or Safety Management (e.g. INCOSE, IEC 61508-close certificates, etc.) of advantage 5 years of professional experience with action models, procedures and methods according to international and national standards for ILS/LSA in the military/ civil field, as well as in international business and in the field of military technology Experience in a comparable safety/product safety function of advantage Detectable knowledge of quality and safety management systems Safe handling of analysis tools/reliability software detectable experience in the application of the Product Safety Act (ProdSG) and the GPSR Proofable knowledge of standards and regulations for system/Functional safety or Product safety (e.g. MIL-STD-882, STANAG, EASA control unit depending on the application) Detection of SysML knowledge for system developers Basic understanding of risk analysis methods (FMEA, FTA, Hazard Analysis) and verification/validation processes readiness to verify safety (VS compliance according to SÜG) German language skills and good English skills in word and writing High integrity and durability to ensure independent safety assessment, including on-time and cost pressure as well as communication strength to management, program management, authorities and customers (m/w/d).
