Are you interested in business, numbers and big business decisions? You want to study and gain practical experience at the same time? Then start your dual study business administration with a focus on finance & accounting. During your studies, you combine business knowledge with real practice experience in a large energy company. You will complete your dual studies at the Hamburg School of Business Administration (HSBA). There you will learn the most important basics of business management, such as controlling, marketing, human resources management, business mathematics and law. You are directly involved in the company – the interplay of practice and theory is the focus. From the second year of study, you will specialise in Finance & Financial Markets and work with Finance & Risk Management, Mergers & Acquisitions, Financial Economics, Venture Capital and Sustainable Finance. You complete your studies after six semesters with the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Business Administration. During your practice phases, you actively work in the financial sector of the Hamburger Energiewerke. You can learn step by step how a large company is economically controlled. With time you take more and more responsibility and work independently on your own tasks. You will gain insights into accounting, controlling, financing, corporate assessment and risk management. You support bookings, cost analysis and budget planning. You participate in monthly, quarterly and annual accounts (balance, profit and loss account, cash flow). You analyze financial data and start internal evaluations. You work on projects for the further development of the controlling. You support tax returns and pay attention to compliance with tax requirements. You learn how the economic management of the Hamburger Energiewerke subsidiary works.

You have reached your general university maturity with good performance or soon complete. You have mathematics, German and English. Interested in business, figures and financial relationships. You have gained first experience with MS Office, especially with Excel. You want to apply theory from your studies directly in practice. You like to work in the team. Attractive remuneration: Look forward to an attractive remuneration! In the first year, you will receive 1.512 euros, which will increase to 1.502 euros during a three-year study. With us, you benefit from 13 monthly salaries and a grant of 200 euros. And the best thing: we take 100% of tuition fees.

Combination theory and practice: The ideal combination of theory and practice allows you to apply and further deepen knowledge acquired at the university. You get to know different areas of an energy supplier and work in the teams.
