In the early development phase, our motivated and innovative team at the Sindelfingen site has the responsibility for designing the high-voltage architecture for the future Mercedes-Benz plug-in and electric vehicles, consisting of e-drive, power electronics, battery and charging system. In the subsequent series development phase up to market launch, we implement the high-voltage architecture individually for each vehicle series and form the interface of development responsibility to all other areas of the group. You will thus get a very broad insight into the activities in the different vehicle development phases over all electrified series at Mercedes-Benz, from the first design to the market launch of our vehicles. Depending on the order situation, these challenges could come to you: As part of the team, you actively participate in new innovative development projects in the field of HV drive systems In addition to the mandatory organizational tasks from the daily business, you have the opportunity to control your focus with us depending on your interests. You support project management, experts and system managers in supplier management: project and committee management to management level, meeting organization, tracking work packages, creating overviews and presentations for management You can actively contribute to the investigation and development of new electrical drive concepts and support us in this - including the design of electrical components and the specification of electrical systems To build the most desirable cars in the world, we must always keep a close eye on the competition - your task is to have a look at the activities of our competitors and to report them transparently. You support the team in the development process or in day-to-day business in general administrative and organizational activities The work with us in the team is very diverse and varied, as we have a lot of interfaces to the whole development and you will also get a broad insight into the diverse areas of work within the development and thus actively shape our vehicles in the future. Depending on the degree of maturity of the project, we also work directly on the vehicle prototypes from time to time and record measurement data during a test trip and then evaluate them

Studies in electrical engineering, mechatronics, automotive engineering, electromobility, mechanical engineering or comparable studies Ideally, you have completed your Bachelor's degree and are in master's degree Practical experience through training previous internships, Formula Student, or similar are of advantage, but not absolutely necessary Experiences in Matlab/Simulink and in design programs such as Siemens NX are desirable. Safe handling of MS Office Secure knowledge of German and English in word and writing Ready to incorporate into new Mercedes-own tools and AI tools Enthusiasm for Electromobility & Future Technologies Own initiative and sense of responsibility Reliability and rapid understanding Commitment and team skills Analytical, Structured and Independent Operation Additional information: The internship has a duration of six months and takes place in Sindelfingen.
